My Findings & Verdict
My Rating
4.5
FULL DISCLOSURE – I used to work at Roar Ambition and worked on the updates to Prime Male to change the capsules from red gelatine to clear vegetable cellulose. So take the strap line red pill had to go in the bin!
The last set of changes made to the product were based on the latest research on the best ingredients and dosages to keep Prime Male as one of the very best testosterone boosters on the market..
I have not only worked on the formulation of Prime Male, I have tested and used the product many times so although I worked for Roar Ambition, this review is unbiased and in no was associated with or endorsed by them.

Why you should trust me
Unlike a lot of other companies who only research the ingredients and make a judgement base only on that, I actually try the products I review!
As stated earlier, I used to work on this product so have first hand knowledge of not just the formula, but why each of the ingredients was added to the product.
It’s also important to note that I have tried this product on many occasions, both professionally to test it and personally as a test booster.
I’ve also spent the time researching ingredients, working through the papers and research reports that show what can and won’t work. I’ve also spent the last 5 years in the supplements business so know a thing or two about ingredients. For more see the about us page.
Who is Prime Male for?
Any male over 40 years old who suffers from symptoms of low testosterone could consider giving Prime Male Vitality a try. But it’s much more likely to work if you definitely have low testosterone levels and if those levels are tied to something like a zinc or vitamin D deficiency.
Some signs of low testosterone include:
- Low Energy.
- Always Tired / Fatigued.
- Low Mood
- Unmotivated or lack of drive.
- Over emotional.
- Low / No libido – Lack of interest in sex.
- No drive to workout or do things you normally enjoy.
Natural testosterone production peaks at around 19 years of age, and then declines at approximately 10% every 10 years. Increasing your natural testosterone levels will make you feel like yourself again, especially if you have any of the symptoms above.
How I evaluated Prime Male
Evaluating a product like Prime Male is straightforward. First and foremost I have tried this product myself so I know how it makes me feel and if it does what it is supposed to do.
I have then broken down my evaluation into specific criteria that I believe reflect the information needed by someone looking to buy this product.
Then I have done some additional research to make a confident assessment of a product’s potential.
I have started with ingredients as this is one on the most important parts of my final rating assessment. Provided there’s nothing in there I wouldn’t take myself or at least a suspicion that someone might want to try a given supplement, I move on to try the product myself.
I will only do this if I believe that the product is safe, has safe levels of ingredients and I know what I am putting in my body.
After that I want to see if the product is effective in doing what is claims to do.
The last criteria for my evaluation comprises prices, discounts, subscription service, customer service, and more. These are all less influential in my overall ratings, but they are often the things that can tip the scales for anyone looking to try a supplement for the first time, or anyone who is torn between two products.
Let’s take a closer look at each of these criteria for a clearer picture of whether Prime Male is be a good test booster for you.
Prime Male Ingredients – 5/5
Prime Male is a supplement focused on improving men’s health and sexual well-being by elevating testosterone levels.
There are two products (now 3 but I’m not going there) in the Prime Male stable, Prime Male Vitality designed to testosterone levels and Prime Male Enhance, to well, enhance one’s manhood. No I haven’t tried it so there is no review on this site sorry, but I did work on the formula!

Low levels of Vitamin D3 can lead to low testosterone, supplementation may help to boost testosterone levels

Zinc is an essential mineral that can’t be produced or stored by the body

Low Zinc can have a negative effect on testosterone concentration and lead to excessive conversion of testosterone into estradiol (one of the estrogen hormones).
Boron – 5mg
Boron is a natural element found in many vegetables, grains and nuts, Boron increases free testosterone, but it can reduce estrogen levels as well

Can also regulate hormones in the brain to increase testosterone and decrease the production of estrogen, acting as a counterbalance between the two
Magnesium – 100mg
Magnesium is the fourth most common mineral in the human body and plays several roles in the health of the body and brain
Can make testosterone more active in the body by raising free testosterone in men
May increase or normalise testosterone levels
Luteolin – 60mg
Luteolin is a flavonoid, which are antioxidant agents that can protect against toxins
Known to reduce the production of estrogen in men, it can increase the production of progesterone, which is the precursor to testosterone
Black Pepper Extract – 10mg
Black pepper contains Piperine, a chemical known to help promote absorption of other nutrients
Can help to increase the number of red blood cells in the body which can increase testosterone
Prime Male Effectiveness – 4/5
Several ingredients in Prime Male have purported benefits for boosting testosterone.
Several ingredients can boast studies looking specifically at their ability to boost testosterone. One of these is, Ashwagandha, which has been shown to boost testosterone levels but it’s also been studied for its ability to help manage stress.
There’s also a fair amount of credible research linking testosterone levels with vitamin D, but then there are studies that vitamin D will help with a lot of different ailments.
D-Aspartic Acid is another ingredient in many test boosters and Prime Male is no different. Studies have shown that this clinically-proven ingredient has increased testosterone in males by up to 42%.

My cost consideration is a combination of price, bulk or subscription discounts, return policy, and shipping costs. Most test boosters cost somewhere between £25 and £85. The £45.00 price of Prime Male sits int he middle of this range, but is higher than something like DNA Silverback for example. And like most of its competitors, it has bulk purchase savings.
The packs of Prime Male also include a subscription to Boss Workouts, a workout app worth £99. This makes a purchase of 2 for £90 including free UK and US delivery and Boss Prime almost free!

If you have read this Prime Male review and thought, I wonder what else there is on the market, wonder no longer.

There are plenty of other test boosters available, below is a price matrix for the ones I have personally tried and tested.

How to take Prime Male
Prime Male supplements are ready-to-take capsules that come with a recommended dosage of four pills a day – one pill after each meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and the fourth one can be adjusted anytime during the day. It is a good idea to take it after the evening snack for a uniform gap.
I find this a bit frustrating having to take 1 pill four times a day, not the easiest way to take pills, I know, I take enough of them for aches, pains and other ailments.
The capsules can be easily taken with water or like I do, with a no vitamin greens powder (yes they are a thing). The only good thing about Prime Male’s serving style is that it distributes the intake throughout the day which allows for a constant flow of nutrients to the body.
Prime Male Final Thoughts
Prime Male is marketed as an all in one, one stop shop for testosterone and libido enhancement.
This is what the website says, it used to say take the red pill but as I changed the capsules to be vegetable cellulose we couldn’t have colour…
The natural testosterone booster that can help support and raise your testosterone levels, helping you to burn fat, build muscle, and increase your libido.
Whilst I can support some of the claims for test boosting, is it really a fat burning muscle building powerhouse? It kind of is, but if that really is what you are looking for I would choose DNA Silverback or DNA White Wolf as they have more libido enhancing ingredients.
